Part of a bigger picture: the OpenAI “superapp”

A note on safety
OpenAI classified GPT-5.5 as “High” under its cybersecurity capabilities framework. That sounds alarming, but context matters. OpenAI uses a scale where “Critical” is the top level, and GPT-5.5 didn’t reach that. The company says the model went through safety evaluations and testing with external experts before release.
What “High” means in practice is that the model is capable enough to potentially assist with certain cybersecurity tasks, which is exactly the kind of thing you’d expect from a more powerful AI.
